You will be a member of an experienced Building Consultancy team, performing a wide range of duties including contract and project work, as well as professional services such as Technical Due Diligence (TDD), dilapidations, and fire safety assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular and direct communication with institutional fund management clients, landlords, consultants, and tenants.
  • Manage multiple building surveying instructions simultaneously for a variety of key clients including Columbia Threadneedle, Hammerson, M&G, Landsec, BlackRock, and Federated Hermes.
  • Provide professional advice and support with schedules of dilapidations, pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence, development monitoring, defect diagnosis, fire safety advice, and schedules of condition reports.
  • Perform roles such as designer, contract administrator, project manager, or a hybrid of all three.
  • Successfully manage the project process from inception to completion.
  • Advise and deliver on ESG initiatives using the most environmental and sustainable methods and materials.
  • Support and develop less experienced team members, taking on leadership roles.
  • Develop strategic views on the lifecycle of property assets to meet client objectives.
  • Motivate and manage a small team of surveyors, including apprentices, graduates, and surveyors, and support their further studies.

Proactiveness and initiative are highly valued. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work within set timelines and provide regular client updates, ensuring client expectations are met.

  • MRICS chartered surveyor qualification.
  • Preferred experience in commercial property within a similar consultancy.
