We're pleased to share a rare opportunity to welcome a Marine Claims Surveyor/Loss Adjuster to our Client's expert team. This role offers the chance to work closely with a variety of specialists and colleagues in the Global Marine Practice Group.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate marine cargo and freight liability claims, including the logistics practices of cargo owners and carriers, and assess the circumstances and cause of each loss in relation to policy cover.
- Evaluate liabilities for both cargo owners and carriers within a transit chain, aiming to protect and secure recoveries from other carriers or non-contracted third parties as needed.
- Address both first and third-party liability claims, covering a wide variety of loss causes, cargo types, and locations.
 
Requirements:
- A hands-on, proactive approach with a willingness to engage directly in the workload.
- Relevant qualifications such as Cert CII, Cert CILA, or BACS (or a commitment to achieving these).
- Demonstrated experience in commercial adjusting.
- Strong time management skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to undertake further training as required by the role.
- Flexibility to travel for business on an ad-hoc basis.
- A full UK driving licence.
