Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate Director to join a dynamic, independent consultancy delivering high-profile projects across London and the surrounding areas. The role involves leading cost management on diverse schemes, including hotels, commercial Cat A/B fit-outs, cut-and-carve refurbishments, leisure facilities, and town regeneration projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert cost consultancy services across all project stages, from inception to completion.
- Lead cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Manage procurement strategies, tender processes, and contract administration.
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure optimal outcomes for clients.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to maximize project efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including cost monitoring and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their development and skills.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven experience in cost management, with a strong track record of delivering projects within budget.
- Expertise in sectors such as commercial, hospitality, leisure, or urban regeneration.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, and procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with key contractual frameworks, including JCT and NEC contracts.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Chartered membership (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.
