Senior - Associate Level Quantity Surveyor
As an active senior / Associate quantity surveying team member, you will undertake multiple and complex work assignments, delivering within timeframes and managing resources to provide exemplary professional services to clients. You will be comfortable working autonomously and within a team, delivering best-in-class services for a broad range of clients across multiple sectors and projects. these sectors are hugely diverse and include Leisure, Commercial, PBSA, Residential, Fit Out, Education, Healthcare & many more!

The team are hugely flexible in how they work, and are looking for someone who is looking to progress their career and work their way up to the senior managment team given the time and support. The team have recently had a huge cash injection, which has led to further developments from their London, Edinburgh, Glasgow & offices in the UAE.
Required Experience
- Education to degree level
- MRICS OR on site experience
Primary Responsibilities
Precontract
- Cost planning in line with RIBA stages
- Market conditions advice
- Procurement route options
- Advise on relevance of advance works/packages
Tender
- Liaise with client's legal team on contract amendments
- Prepare suitable tender documents for issue to tenderers
- Manage project team to prepare bills of quantities when required
- Check tender submissions for errors, omissions, exclusions, qualifications, and inconsistencies
- Liaise with the professional team and advise on tender document discrepancies
- Prepare tender reports and recommendations for client approval
- Conduct negotiations with tenderers
Procuring
- Produce and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other appointment documents
- Participate in tender document preparation
- Review and comment on tender returns from a technical compliance standpoint
- Lead negotiations with contractors to ensure best value
Construction
- Prepare recommendations for interim payments to contractors
- Advise on the cost of variations prior to instruction issuance
- Agree on the cost of instructions issued under the Building Contract
- Advise on the rights and obligations of parties to the Building Contract
Post Construction
- Prepare and facilitate agreement on the final account or similar financial statement
- Prepare recommendations for the payment of liquidated and ascertained damages
General Duties
- Participate in professional development and training activities

- Mentor junior staff
- Network and support business development objectives
