Senior Project Manager – Associate Director - London 
 
ROLE SUMMARY
 
Following their recent acquisition by a global industry leader, our client is entering an exciting phase of growth and expansion. They are seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager or Associate Director to join their expanding project management team. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of high-impact projects across multiple sectors. You will be instrumental in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard, while driving forward the strategic objectives of both their clients and the wider business.
In this role, you will be equally comfortable working independently or leading multi-disciplinary teams, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach. You will build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, embodying their commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation. Your work will directly support the company’s ambitious growth strategy as they take on a range of exciting new projects following the recent acquisition. The team work in a hugely diverse range of sectors, and projects will include Fit Out, Refreshments, New Build Residential, PBSA, Life Sciences & more! 

KEY EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
 
- Degree-educated, ideally in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, ideally in diverse sectors.
- Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or equivalent (CIOB) or (MAPM).- NEC4 accreditation preferred but not essential. Relevant experience will be considered as long as you wish to gain the above accreditation's. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
Project Planning 
- Develop comprehensive Project Management Plans, outlining clear strategies and communication channels for all stakeholders.  
- Create and manage project programmes, setting key milestones and ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities.  
- Critically review construction schedules, recommending adjustments to optimise delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement 
 
- Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders to clearly define project objectives and establish detailed briefs.  
- Lead and coordinate regular project meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment among all parties.  
- Manage project correspondence, ensuring all tasks are delivered within agreed timelines.

Procurement & Tendering 
 
- Draft and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) and appointment documents for project procurement.  
- Play an active role in preparing tender documentation, ensuring that all project requirements are clearly reflected.  
- Evaluate tender submissions, ensuring technical compliance and leading negotiations to secure best-value contracts.

Risk Management & Value Delivery
 
- Review design proposals to ensure alignment with the project brief and business objectives.  
- Facilitate value engineering and risk assessment workshops to maximise project efficiency.  
- Track and manage risk mitigation strategies and value-adding opportunities.  
- Support the evaluation of contractor claims for delays and work closely with commercial teams on entitlement assessments.

Project Delivery & Administration
 
- Monitor contractor progress, assessing quality and commercial aspects to ensure alignment with project requirements.  
- Oversee on-site quality checks and issue instructions for rectifying defects where necessary.  
- Manage design teams and coordinate technical responses, ensuring project needs are met and contract requirements fulfilled.  
- Handle contract instructions, documentation, and compliance, ensuring all project communication follows established protocols.

Leadership & General Duties 
 
- Oversee the work of sub-consultants and directly appointed team members to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.  
- Provide professional advice and services as required by senior leadership or project appointments.  
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training, mentoring junior staff and fostering a positive company culture.  - Contribute to business development by networking and supporting new growth opportunities.
