This home-based role involves collaborating with the Home Project Manager team to gather vital site information, assess liability, and create detailed work scopes.
Key Requirements To be considered, you must live in North East England, hold a full UK driving licence, and be prepared for regular customer visits, which form a significant part of this role.
About the JobYou will provide a customer-focused and cost-effective service to household claims customers. By working closely with the Home Project Manager team, you’ll gather and provide site information to manage claims to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Visiting customers to assess liability, create detailed work scopes, draw floorplans, validate claims against policy cover, and agree settlements.
Determining the best management route for claims and accurately recording evidence.
Appointing suppliers, making liability decisions, and setting initial reserves using claims scoping software.
Supporting major incidents that may require occasional travel across the UK.
Managing personal appointments with self-motivation and flexibility, including evenings and weekends as required.
Skills and Experience
Empathy and Communication: Strong ability to deliver sensitive news with care while maintaining excellent client relations.
Technical Knowledge: Expertise in building pathology and best practices within the residential property insurance sector.
Claims Software Proficiency: Skilled in using systems like Symbility and Exactaware, with hands-on experience working on-site with tablet technology.
Damage Management: Understanding of flood, escape of water (EOW), and fire damage claims, alongside health and safety regulations.
