Company Overview

Established in 2022, we are a boutique consultancy firm based in Leeds & London, specialising in project management and strategic vision. Our core focus is on understanding client objectives to deliver tailored solutions that add value throughout every stage of the project lifecycle. Working across commercial, industrial, and retail sectors, as well as mixed-use developments, we are dedicated to achieving outstanding project outcomes. As a growing business, we offer a dynamic opportunity for seasoned professionals to take on leadership roles and contribute to transformative projects shaping the built environment.

Role Overview: Associate Director / Director - Project Management

We are currently seeking an accomplished Associate Director or Director to join our team on a full-time basis, based in our Leeds or London office. This senior role will involve leading and managing a portfolio of high-profile projects across the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors, as well as mixed-use developments. While the primary location is in London, occasional travel to project sites across the UK will be required.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced project management professional ready to step into a leadership role, driving strategic project direction and playing a key role in our expanding consultancy. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll oversee project delivery, client relationships, and strategic development, gaining visibility across all stages of the project lifecycle—from initial planning to final handover. The role provides significant scope for leadership, offering the chance to shape both project outcomes and the consultancy's growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Take ownership of high-stakes projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their vision and objectives to achieve outstanding project outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination: Oversee collaboration among internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination, high-quality delivery, and alignment with project goals.

  • Strategic Development and Planning: Drive the strategic direction of projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and broader business strategy.

  • Risk Management and Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks, implementing effective strategies to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Reporting and Accountability: Provide regular, comprehensive project reports to clients and internal teams, maintaining transparency and accountability at all project stages.

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment within the project management team.

Expectations & Qualifications

  • Education: A degree in project management, construction management, or a related field is highly desirable. Professional accreditation (e.g., APM, RICS, PMI) is expected at this level.

  • Experience: Substantial experience in project management within commercial, industrial, retail, or mixed-use sectors is essential. Previous experience in a leadership or director-level role within a consultancy environment is highly preferred.

  • Skills: Demonstrated excellence in communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder management. Strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage complex, high-stakes projects are essential.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK for project needs, with a high level of adaptability and time management skills.

What We Offer

  • Salary: Competitive salary ranging from £75,000 to £105,000, plus a comprehensive package, based on experience. Further to this a shared company bonus between £5,000 - £23,000 is on offer!

  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible working arrangements are supported to promote a balanced work-life dynamic. As such, we offer 25 days AL + Bank Holidays as standard, and we also close down for the Christmas period between 20th - 4th which does not come out of your AL!

  • Professional Growth: As a fast-growing consultancy, we offer significant opportunities for professional development and career progression. You’ll have the ability to shape project outcomes and influence company direction.

  • Collaborative Environment: Join a forward-thinking, innovative team that values quality, excellence, and commitment to impactful project delivery.

This role is ideal for an ambitious project management leader looking to further their career within a consultancy that values expertise, offers real progression, and works on transformative projects across the UK. If you’re ready to join a dynamic, growth-focused company and make an impact in the built environment, we would love to hear from you.
