We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and forward-thinking multi-disciplinary organisation dedicated to providing innovative solutions across the property lifecycle. They are excited to announce a pivotal new role within their team: Senior Fire Engineer. / Principal . This position offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in shaping their newly established Building Safety and Fire service, working closely with the existing service lead.

You’ll influence every stage of the property lifecycle—from buying and leasing to designing, building, operating, maintaining, upgrading, retrofitting, and selling—all while helping to advance the standards of building safety and fire services.
This is a critical opportunity to contribute to the future of fire safety within the framework of the Building Safety Act, the Hackitt Review, and the Grenfell Inquiry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement and Development:
    • Create compelling client proposals.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Engage in business development activities to expand the client base.
  • Service Delivery:
    • Deliver value across the property lifecycle, addressing lender due diligence, planning gateway fire statements, and government funding application management and delivery.
    • Provide expert input on services such as:
      • Building Safety Act Clerk of Works
      • Construction stage fire risk assessments
      • Fire safety strategy and Fire Emergency Files
      • Fire door, compartmentation, and fire-stopping surveys
      • EWS1 forms and Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW)
    • Develop Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports.
    • Conduct third-party reviews and monitor projects for compliance and quality.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery.
    • Collaborate with other services to provide holistic, multidisciplinary solutions.

    • Proven experience in fire safety, fire engineering, and/or fire science.

    • Chartered Engineer status is desirable (support provided to achieve this).
