About the Role: A leading asset management organisation is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Building Surveyor up to AD level to join their dedicated team. This client-side role focuses on a variety of retail and leisure projects, encompassing a broad range of surveying duties and project management tasks. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a team of four professionals within this division, contributing to the broader objectives of one of the UK’s largest owned asset teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:Oversee the planning and execution of retail and leisure projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Building Surveys:Conduct comprehensive building surveys, prepare detailed reports, and provide expert recommendations on findings.

  • Contract Administration:Manage contract administration duties throughout project lifecycles, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:Liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and external consultants to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.

  • Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all projects comply with current building regulations, health and safety standards, and other statutory requirements.

  • Mentorship:Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field.

  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors MRICS or MCIOB is highly desirable though not essential.

  • Proven experience in building surveying, preferably within the retail and leisure sectors, though not essential.

  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

  • Excellent knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and contract administration.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology tools.
