We are working on behalf of a prestigious client in the life sciences sector to recruit an experienced and dynamic Project Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge projects in a sector that drives innovation and makes a real difference. The successful candidate will bring their expertise in delivering complex projects within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry and contribute to shaping the future of the sector.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of life sciences projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee the design, planning, and construction phases, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide strategic advice and technical input to clients, adding value through innovative problem-solving and expertise.
  • Manage procurement, contract negotiations, and contractor performance to achieve optimal project outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure project quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Deliver detailed project reports and updates, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and performance.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MRICS qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Extensive experience managing projects within the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, high-value projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and relevant software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in cleanroom, laboratory, or highly controlled environments is highly desirable.
