A rare opportunity for an experienced Project Director and Office Lead to establish and grow a new office in Bristol, taking full responsibility for the South West region. This role is ideal for a strategic and commercially driven professional with a strong background in project management, business development, and leadership.
The successful candidate will spearhead regional growth, deliver high-profile projects, and shape the future of the business in the South West. This is an opportunity to join a hugely ambitious team formed in 2023, with significant expansion plans and a strong pipeline of projects across commercial, fit-out, hotels, Build to Rent (BTR), Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), and industrial sectors—with project values of up to £150m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Leadership & Growth
- Establish, lead, and expand the Bristol office, developing a strong regional presence.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of project management professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and dynamic workplace culture that supports innovation and excellence.
- Business Development & Market Strategy
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, leveraging an extensive industry network.
- Drive growth across commercial, fit-out, hotels, BTR, PBSA, and industrial sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term partnerships.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Project Management & Delivery
- Oversee and manage the successful delivery of complex projects valued up to £150m.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead project teams, managing risk, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.
- Implement industry best practices in project management, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Financial & Operational Oversight
- Drive financial performance of the regional office, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor and optimise project profitability, ensuring commercial viability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- Background in commercial, fit-out, hotels, BTR, PBSA, or industrial sectors.
- Proven experience in business development and growing regional operations.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the South West property and construction market.
- Professional qualifications such as RICS, APM or MCIOB are advantageous.
