Role Overview:
They are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Building Surveyor to join their growing team. Based in one of their North West offices, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards your APC and becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake building surveys, Dilapidations, condition reports, and defect analysis for properties within Education, Healthcare, and Commercial sectors.
- Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, specifications, and schedules of work.
- Support the delivery of planned maintenance, refurbishment, and redevelopment projects.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
- Monitor works on site, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage contract administration.
- Provide technical advice on building pathology and compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
- A degree in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited).
- Ambition to achieve MRICS accreditation (APC support provided).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach to work, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety, and sustainability considerations.
- Familiarity with project management processes and software (desirable but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
