Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of fire engineering strategies for high-profile projects.

  • Provide technical leadership, ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Oversee fire risk assessments, modelling, and performance-based fire safety design.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on fire engineering matters.

  • Lead and mentor a team of fire engineers, supporting their technical and professional development.

  • Contribute to business development, including client engagement, project proposals, and securing new work.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, integrating fire safety into wider building designs.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Significant experience in fire engineering, with a strong consultancy background.

  • In-depth knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, building regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growth.

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

  • Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body (e.g., IFE, CEng).
