We are looking for a skilled and motivated Project Manager with expertise in the life sciences sector to join the London office of a globally recognised property consultancy. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects for leading organisations in the life sciences industry, including laboratories, research facilities, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering innovative solutions, ensuring project success from inception to completion.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of life sciences projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Coordinate project teams, including consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, to achieve seamless project delivery.
  • Oversee project programmes, budgets, risk assessments, and progress reporting.
  • Lead procurement activities, including tendering and contract administration, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
  • Support client decision-making with expert advice on design, construction, and project management.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other service lines to deliver integrated property solutions for clients.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as project management, construction, or engineering.
  • Ideally, chartered status or working towards professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB).
  • Proven experience managing life sciences projects, including laboratories, R&D facilities, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, with the ability to manage complex and technical projects.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs effectively.
  • Knowledge of the specific challenges and requirements of the life sciences sector.
