They are seeking an experienced Associate Fire Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the growth and development of the fire safety division. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple fire engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Fire Risk Assessments: Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments, including Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs), and perform both intrusive and non-intrusive surveys to identify potential fire hazards.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance in developing fire safety strategies, incorporating fire safety procedures into designs, and making recommendations for materials used in construction or refurbishment projects.

  • Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior and graduate fire engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changing fire safety regulations and legislation, ensuring all projects comply with industry codes and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in fire engineering, with a proven track record in delivering fire safety solutions across various sectors.

  • Professional Status: Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with fire safety standards and codes, including PAS9980:2022 and EWS1 forms.

  • Skills: Strong technical and numerical abilities, attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
